Nanik Rahayu Needs a Miracle

Help us lift Nanik up and give her hope for the future. Nanik is an Indonesian residing in Malaysia for work. She and her husband both lost their jobs during the pandemic and are struggling to provide food on the table for her family as well as milk for her baby. On top of that, she is burdened with a hospital bill she absolutely cannot pay. In October last year, she was admitted for an emergency caesarean section due to a life-threatening illness affecting several organs in her body, including her brain and liver. Her baby was born premature at 7 months gestation and had to be hospitalised for two months to survive. Nanik herself was in ICU for 6 days postpartum. The bill came up to a whopping RM31,200+ for both her and the baby. During the months after she was discharged from the hospital, she has worked hard as a cleaner to repay the bill, often giving up most of her earnings in the process. The pandemic has obliterated everything she has worked so hard for. She has not been able to pay monthly deposits for the past four months as she is completely out of money. She even has to rely on kindhearted neighbours for milk and rice. The receipts she showed us indicated she still owes in excess of RM22,000. If this is the price for the beautiful little girl she fought so hard to bring into the world and keep, we want to help her pay this debt so she can use whatever little she has left for milk powder and food, and, when times are better, for the future of her precious children. Please help us help her!
