About Appeal

Nanik is an indonesian cleaner residing in Malaysia for work. She and her husband lost their jobs during the pandemic and are struggling to provide food on the table for her family as well as milk for her baby. On top of that, she is burdened with a hospital bill she absolutely cannot pay. Last year she was admitted for an emergency caesarean section due to a severe form of preeclampsia. Her baby was born at 7 months gestation and had to be hospitalised for two months to survive. Nanik herself was in icu for 6 days postpartum. The bill came up to a whopping rm31,200+ for both her and the baby. She has worked hard to repay the bill but has not been able to pay monthly deposits for the past four months as she is out of money. The receipts she showed me indicated she still owes rm22,000. I want to help her pay this debt so she can use whatever little she has left for milk powder and food. I have requested for the money to be paid directly to the hospital. If we exceed this target amount, the extra money will go into providing diapers and milk for her little girl as well as provisions for her family.
