Hi all, I've been passionate about marine mammals since 2004 at the age of 10. Fast forward 14 years later, I am still as passionate as ever. For my 24th birthday, I thought of doing something different. Instead of friends and families going out and buying gifts and discussing about what gifts to get for my birthday, I'm making it as simple as ever. All you got to do is donate! Donate to
MareCet. I've been involved with MareCet since 2014 when I starting volunteering for one of the PhD candidates, Vivian Kuit. Ever since then, I volunteered as much as I could when I came home to Malaysia. In 2016, I finally got the chance to volunteer with another PhD candidate, Sandra Teoh and we went to Langkawi, Kuala Perlis and Kuala Kedah for the Langkawi Dolphin Research. That was the first time I saw dolphins in Malaysia and I knew that I needed to study them for my postgraduate research. I've also volunteered for MareCet at public events, creating awareness amongst the public regarding our Malaysian marine mammals. I am beyond excited to see what future work MareCet will carry out and I hope you will support this fund-raising event.
