Mother’s Choice are a local charity serving the many children without families and pregnant teenagers in Hong Kong. They give hope and change the life stories of vulnerable girls and babies. Their vision is to see every child in a loving family. Each year, thousands of teenage girls face crisis pregnancy with no support, and thousands of children are in need of a family for a number of reasons including neglect, abuse, abandonment, or family breakdown. Mother's Choice support the most vulnerable in our community by providing high-quality services for children, youth and families, and actively providing ways to prevent the problem.

My Story

So here’s the truth.. I’m sat in a coffee shop contemplating whether I should do this. If i hit “post” - that’s it, I’m doing it. I read about this challenge a while ago and it kind of stuck with me. More recently I’ve found myself thinking about it more and more and figure it’s now or never. F*ck it, here it goes.

Why shouldn’t I do it?
1/ I haven’t trained
2/ I’m not an endurance athlete or even a runner
3/ I’ve not even ran a half marathon before, so running 2 marathons in as many days is probably going to be tough

Why should I do it?
1/ To challenge myself. To test my grit, determination and resilience
2/ For women and children much much less fortunate than me. For children who don't have what my daughter has

So here it is: I will run 4 miles, every 4 hours for 48 hours. That’s 52 miles. I’m not allowed to “rack” up miles, that means I run 4 miles on the 4 hour mark for 2 days. That also means sleep deprivation. Can you run back to back marathons without training? Let’s see
