My Story
Three brave nine year old girls - Charlie, Jem and Kez - and their equally earnest eight year old brothers, Jacob and Michael, and refusing-to-be-the-baby-because-he's-already six years old, Kai, have trained tirelessly for many weeks to complete an almost 4km open water swim in support of Mother's Choice.
The adventure will start precisely at 6.30am on Saturday, 30 May 2020; the ambitious route will begin at Deep Water Bay, go around Middle Island, and back to Deep Water Bay beach. The kids voluntarily committed - not coerced! - to swim continuously and without external help, but should they be occasionally towed by their Baywatch fathers - Tim and Rob - we trust you will allow for the momentary rest.
Charlie, Jacob, Jem, Kai, Kez, Jacob and Michael are swimming for their favourite charity, Mother's Choice. Like many NGOs, Mother's Choice operations have been adversely impacted by COVID-19. Meanwhile, their services are needed more than ever to protect and support vulnerable members of our Hong Kong community: at-risk children without families, and pregnant teenagers. Your financial support for Mother's Choice is greatly appreciated for our six amphibious fundraisers!
