Our team is made up of members of all abilities. We run (and jog and walk) for fun and hope while doing so to raise awareness and lots of funds for the Indochina Starfish Foundation (ISF), an NGO in Phnom Penh changing the lives of some of Cambodia's most disadvantaged children through education, health and sports. We're very proud that three former students will be joining us this year. All of them beat the odds to finish high school and hope to go on to university in the coming months. In December, we are joining in the Angkor Wat 10km in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Running has always been our Achille’s heel, but this year we’ve decided to go the extra mile to support a cause close to our hearts. We’re extremely excited to be helping the Indochina Starfish Foundation (ISF) which aims to improve the lives of some of the poorest and most disadvantaged children and their families in Cambodia, through education, healthcare and sports programmes. Help us make a difference, one child at a time!Siamo tre amiche italiane, Margherita, Rachele e Irene. A Dicembre parteciperemo per la prima volta alla Angkor Wat 10k a Siem Reap, Cambogia. Correre non è mai stato il nostro forte, ma quest’anno abbiamo deciso di spingerci oltre i nostri limiti e correre 10km per una causa che ci sta a cuore. Siamo entusiaste di dare il nostro supporto alla Indochina Starfish Foundation (ISF) che aiuta tra i più poveri e marginalizzati bambini e le loro famiglie in Cambogia, dando loro accesso a programmi di educazione, assistenza sanitaria e sport. For the past three years CrossFit Amatak has encouraged our members to challenge their fitness by running the Angkor Wat 10K (or 21K) Run in Siem Reap Cambodia. This year we’re going to do it for an additional good cause! All funds raised here go toward Indochina Starfish Foundation (ISF) which used sport and education to develop the next generation of healthy, educated and confident Cambodians. Please support our members to hit our fundraising target! We’ll send out pictures of our members doing the run after the event.

Sophia (Yiyi) Mao and Nick Cook are running the Angkor Wat International Half Marathon on 3 December 2017. This internationally recognised half marathon raises relief for the victims of antipersonnel mines in Cambodia. The race is attended by many landmine victims and takes place inside the ruins of Angkor, a World Heritage Site. We are also running the race as a sponsored pair, raising money for the Indochina Starfish Foundation (ISF), an NGO in Cambodia committed to changing the lives of disadvantaged children. We will also visit one of the ISF schools in Phnom Penh as part of the trip. WE ARE A GROUP OF FOOTBALLERS WHO HAVE BEEN TOGETHER FOR 30 YEARS AND DECIDED THAT APART FROM OUR REGULAR FOOTBALL MEET UPS WHAT CAN WE DO AS GROUP TO HELP THOSE IN NEED.IN 2012 WE WERE INVITED BY A SOCCER VETERAN GROUP BASED IN KUALA LUMPUR WHO RAN TOURNAMENTS YEARLY AND IT WAS PLAYED IN DIFFERENT COUNTRY EVERY YEAR THAT IS WHERE THE IDEA CAME TO US LET'S START DOING CHARITY WORK IN EVERY COUNTRY WE GO TO AND BRING A SMILE TO THEIR FACES.FROM THAT YEAR THERE WAS NO TURNING BACK AND ALSO YEARLY IN DECEMBER WE HAVE OUR FOOD SPONSOR FOR BREAKFAST,LUNCH AND DINNER IN SINGAPORE FOR THE OLD AGE HOME AT SRI NARAYANA HOME IN YISHUN.
